Before you buy

Check your phone takes an eSIM

Open the Phone app and dial *#06#. If you see a number labelled EID, your phone supports eSIM. It also needs to be unlocked, so not tied to one network. Phones bought outright usually are; if you are not sure, ask your network before you buy.

Choosing a plan

Pick by the days you are away and the data you use. Most people on a one-week trip are fine with 5 to 10 GB; maps, video calls and streaming use the most. Every destination page marks one plan as recommended.

Unlimited and fair use

An unlimited plan has no data cap. Fair use applies: full speed up to [X] GB a day, then slower until midnight. The plan says so on its card.

Which network you'll use

Each destination page names the local network the eSIM connects to and whether 5G is available. Coverage follows that network's coverage.

Installing

Install on iPhone

On the order page, tap Install with one tap. iOS opens the eSIM setup; follow it and keep the new line switched on. If the button is missing, go to Settings, Mobile Data, Add eSIM, and scan the QR code.

Install on Android

Save the QR code to your photos from the order page. Then go to Settings, Network and internet, SIMs, Add eSIM, and choose the QR code from your gallery. Some phones ask you to scan it with the camera instead.

Install with codes

If the QR code cannot be read, choose Enter details manually on the Add eSIM screen and type the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your order page or email.

Install before you fly

Installing needs an internet connection, so do it at home on Wi-Fi. Your plan starts when the phone first connects in the destination, not when you install it. Once installed, the eSIM cannot be refunded.

When you arrive

Turn on data roaming

Switch on data roaming for the eSIM line, not for your usual SIM. On iPhone: Settings, Mobile Data, choose the eSIM, Data Roaming. On Android it is under the SIM's settings.

No connection after landing

The first connection can take up to 10 minutes. Check data roaming is on for the eSIM and that the eSIM is selected for mobile data. Switching flight mode on and off helps. If it still does not connect, email us with your order number.

Using hotspot

You can share the eSIM's data with a laptop or tablet. Some Android phones need an APN setting for sharing; it is in your order email.

Your usual number

The eSIM is for data. Your usual SIM stays in the phone for calls and texts, and WhatsApp keeps your number. Turn off data on your usual SIM so your home network does not charge you.

Orders and refunds

Refund policy

Full refund within 14 days if the eSIM has not been installed. If an installed eSIM gives no service because of a fault on our side that we cannot fix, we refund or replace it. No refund for unused data on a working eSIM.

Find your receipt

The order page has a Receipt link, and so does your account under Orders. The order page link is in your delivery email.

Add data to your eSIM

Open the order page or your account and choose a top-up. It goes onto the same eSIM; nothing to install.

Log in to your account

Enter your email and we send you a link. No password. Your account was created with the email you bought with.
